Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA)

THE BRIEF

TAITRA is globally recognised as Taiwan’s foremost non-profit trade promotion organisation, with over 60 offices around the world.

There was a critical need to develop a strategic PR plan for TAITRA’s key brand initiatives. These included introducing and creating credibility for the wide range of machine tools offered by the participating Taiwanese companies, creating a buzz in the Indian manufacturing market about the products launched during the event, spreading awareness about Taiwan’s plans for investing in India by leveraging TAITRA, creating a conducive climate for Taiwanese companies to invest in India through positive PR activity.

OUR ACTION

We planned the strategy as well as handled the execution for the press conference and product launch, while also providing valuable advise throughout the campaign phase. We identified key publications in corporate beats and managed the flow of information with key media stakeholders at all levels. For the media interaction, we assisted in developing the communication material like the press kit and invitation, coordinated for the event pictures, fact and figures details and press release.

The media launch was held in Delhi, which involved the Occtagon team welcoming guests, introduction of products by the participating Taiwanese companies, Q&A session with the media, and the media experiencing the products at the exhibition pavilion. We did the entire set up at the venue, which included providing

 

for the media registration area at the entrance, private area for presentation with guest seating area, installation of the branded backdrop, console masking, putting up standees at the conference hall and setting the area for product displays. We also distributed more than 500 flyers and ensured that the non-attending media received their press kits.
